Back in the classroom

On Thursday 13th May, it was great to be back in a primary school classroom again after so many online engagements. Victorian Primary teacher Anna Mills invited me to meet her Year 5 students from Springside Primary School in Caroline Springs Melbourne who were some of the lucky ones to get Adobe Creative Cloud licenses from the Victorian Department of Education and Training.

The students has alreday mastered making video stories with Adobe Spark and I enjoined seeing some of their mathematics stories about different angles around the school.

I showed them how to create flyers with Adobe Spark and challenged them to work with a partner to build a flyer representing the different steps involved in effective hand hygiene. This was in the context of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal No. 3 – Good Health and Well-being.

The students produced some very creative posters and played with lots of teh Adobe Spark features.

Every Vic DET secondary school has access to the Adobe Creative Cloud and many of the students shared how much they are looking foraward to working with Photoshop and other more professional Adobe tools in the future.
