Over 300 Year 10 & 11 students from a range of Victorian schools were involved in the 2022 Melbourne Big Day In which was held in the Design Faculty at The University of Melbourne.
Big Day In events are for secondary students to explore careers in technology and help them make better informed decisions about their future. Adobe have been involved with Big Day In events across Australia since 2015.
It was a pleasure to be the opening keynote presenter for the Melbourne event with the topic Skills Required to Thrive. We looked at research from the World Economic Forum as well as Microsoft and Adobe that outlines the key skills that help people thrive with a focus on the importance of enhancing creativity skills. The research was topped and tailed by some inspiration from Billie Eilish.
It was great to meet most of the students as they passed by the Adobe stand and received postcards and stickers to help them learn more about how they can access Adobe tools at school and at home to enhance their digital creativity skills.
I’d like to congratulate Kerrie Bisaro and the team at the Australian Computer Society Foundation for the work they do to put these events together and I encourage more schools to get involved.
