In the spirit of procrastination and avoiding the extensive amount of marking and report writing  that is currently on my plate, I have decided to write a quick blog about my parent’s (Paul & Merill Kitchen) recent trip to Tonga and in particular how my Father made the Tonga TV News.

This is the first year that both my parents have been more or less retired from full time professional life, my Mother as the Principal of a Theological College and my Father as a General Surgeon and Breast Cancer Specialist.

Both were invited to visit Tonga in May 2010 and lecture to local church and medical leaders. Dad was interviewed on local Tonga TV for their news service.

The local Manningham leader news also interviewed Dad.
