This hands-on workshop with Dr Tim Kitchen from CTL – Creative Teaching & Learning empowers teachers and students to explore how generative AI can support (not replace) creativity, critical thinking, and authentic learning. Participants will engage with a range of AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Copilot, Notebook LM, Firefly etc) to brainstorm ideas, develop content, and enhance multimodal projects, while maintaining a strong focus on human input, judgement, and originality.
This session highlights how AI can act as a creative sparing partner, helping learners plan, create, reflect, refine and improve their work without losing the essential skills that matter most. Ideal for classrooms across multiple learning areas, this workshop emphasises safe, ethical, and purposeful use of AI to elevate both teaching practice and student voice.
