Last Thursday I was very pleased to be invited as a special guest to the , AIE (Academy of Interactive Entertainment) officially openning of their new Melbourne Campus at the World Trade Centre, Docklands.
The Academy of Interactive Entertainment (AIE) is one of the world’s longest running animation, game development and film visual effects schools. As a not for profit, RTO (Registered Training Organisation) it provides a wide variety of certificate and advance diploma courses for students interested in working in games development, animation, film and visual effects.
AIE Charman & CEO John De Margheriti, spoke about why he started AIE back in 1996 and encouraged the students to believe in themselves and follow their dreams as he did all those years ago to establish the academy because there were none at the time.
Laurie Costabile, Melbourne Head of School, hosted the event and proudly showed off the features of the new Melbourne campus.
