I was delighted to be invited to present a keynote and two workshops at the 2022 Albert Park College (APC) staff conference that was focused on Creativity in Education.

APC is an inner-Melbourne government school that opened in 2010 with only a handful of staff and students and has grown into one of Victoria’s most well regarded and highest performing schools with close to 1,500 students and three campuses.

Foundation Principal Steven Cook leads a passion team of educators and support staff that really drive the school’s values of Lead, Create, Inspire.

Each year, Steven and his team run special conference event for all teaching and non-teaching staff that involves arriving at the venue (in this case the beautiful RACV County Club & Resort in Healesville) on a Sunday, staying overnight and making the most of a student free day on the Monday.

Some of the teachers who have only worked at APC thought all schools did this for their staff.

Keynote presenters this year included Alex Wadelton(Creativity Evangelist, Co-founder The Right-brain Workout, Co-founder/Creative Director at Silver Lining Agency), Associate Professor Neryl Jeanneret Artistic and Creative Education expert from The University of Melbourne and myself.

I’m looking forward to continuing to work with the staff and students at APC in the near future.
