Digital Creativity at Mountain Creek State High School – QLD

On Monday, 11th March 2024, I had the pleasure of working with a wide range of students and teachers at Mountain Creek State High School on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia.

This school recently provided Adobe Express access to all of their students and teachers, so my visit was focused on introducing them to this amazing set of browser-based digital creativity tools that can be used in any curriculum area to enhance digital literacy and creativity.

Many students and teachers had long been equipped with access to the Adobe Creative Cloud, yet remained unaware of its full potential. I took the initiative to showcase the diverse array of creations possible with several of the apps, focusing especially on exploring Adobe Character Animator together.

After school, a number of teachers from Mountain Creek State High School as well as some neighbouring schools joined me for the Adobe Creative Educator Level 1 course. Some of the feedback from the teachers included:

Highlights

  • Thank you Tim. This is a great introduction- I will access the course again to watch more videos & learn more.
  • Thanks for Ian I formative and productive session. Would love to earn more.

I would like say a special thank you to Graeme Breen for organising this special day at this school and I’m looking forward to hearing about all the creative content that the students and teachers create with their newly discovered Adobe skills.
