Congratulations to the Pymble Ladies College Primary Team and the St Andrews Cathedral School Year 8 Team for winning the Adobe 1-Minute Video Challenge that was held at SACS in the heart of Sydney on Tuesday September 3.
The challenge is all about working in a team to create a 1 minute video in a day based on a particular theme with the use of Adobe software such as Spark Video, Premiere Rush, Premiere Pro, Character Animator and/or After Effects.
The theme for this challenge was being in charge of the country for a day and making the world a better place.
St Andrews Cathedral School had two primary aged teams and three secondary teams. Trinity Grammar had two primary teams, Pymble had a primary & a secondary team and Loreto Kirribilli three primary teams.
After being given introductions and the secret ingredients for each video, the students selected either a Spark Video or a Premiere Rush workshop to help enhance their editing skills.
Then they went into the planning stage to brainstorm ideas, story board & script their stories.
After planning their stories, they were allowed out to film and capture all their story assets.
Then the students got stuck into the Adobe apps to put their story together. They used a mix of Premiere Rush, Spark Video and one group worked with Premier Pro.
At the end of the day, each group had an opportunity to share their story on the big screen and have their story judged by some experts from Adobe.
